We stayed last week in a hillside lodge overlooking one of the finest views in Scotland with our own balcony in a log xabin with all mod cons , quiet location with access to wonderful hill walks, shoreside activities like boating, canoeing , fishing and osprey watching. Unbelievable, great for families and pets and a short drive from Tarbert where there is every convenience, shops, pubs restaurants etc tourist office .
A must return location. We saw pine martins nearby last week, several deer onsite early morning and my husband caught a sea trout , what’s not to like, very well run site, with great access to local ferries to Gigha, Islay , Jura, Arran, and the spa at Portavadie.

My partner and I recently spent the weekend in a 3 bedroom lodge. This lodge (no 10) at the top of the hill had the most stunning views. The weather was beautiful and the scenery was perfect. Sitting out on the decking with a glass of Drambui and ice listening to the birds tweeting was magical.
The lodge had everything: Gas central heating, washing machine, dish washer, bath, shower, fridge freezer, microwave, sky tv, radio, DVD player etc etc.
We will definitely be back again.

A fantastic location for exploring the Mull of Kintyre and Tarbert and Lochgilphead and surrounding area.

The lodge is excellent and was more than spacious enough for three of us and a dog. Indeed it would be able to hold a lot more than that! The views are fantastic from the lodge itself and set on a beach which is pretty much private. There is also a hot tub that can be used right next to the cabin which looks right out to see (an additional cost of £25 to use it seemed fair enough as we used it on our own).

We booked the lodge very late in the day and the family running this business could not have been more accommodating. Malcolm junior took our booking and his parents looked after us very well (in fact we never heard from Malcolm Jnr again!!). Malcolm Snr is a total legend and came out in any conditions to help us and speak to us and gave us some background to the local area too.
