Activities
For outdoor enthusiasts, the local area offers plenty of scope, for a variety of interests. Pony-trekking, boat hire and boat trips are available at the cottages. Further activities including sea angling, fly fishing and water ski-ing can be arranged subject to availability.
Mr & Mrs MacDonald and family will only be too happy to assist in arranging the necessary bookings.
Wildlife enthusiasts will find much to interest them. Birdwatchers can expect to see the smallest of British Birds, the gold crest, while at the other end of the scale our largest bird, the golden eagle, is still to be found, a keen eye will no doubt spot the occasional shy roe deer, sika and red deer can also be spotted.

If island hopping is to your liking, then information can be supplied by the local tourist information centre at Lochgilphead. Various leaflets are available in each cottage detailing places of interest to visit.
This area of Scotland is steeped in history and there are many sites of historical interest within easy travelling distance from your cottage. The Mull of Kintyre shoreline has some of the sandiest beaches in Scotland and the famous Machrihanish golf course is only a short drive away.

Do not forget to visit the busy Crinan Basin at the western end of the Crinan Canal, always colourful, with fishing yachts and local fishing boats, close by is the fishing village of Tarbert some 9 miles away. |
